Brewery Tours

Your tour of the Adnams brewery will explain the beer making process from start to finish. You’ll explore the choice of ingredients and how we make our beers using our super-modern, self-cleaning brew stream (we’re trying to programme it to make the tea, too) through to tasting the final delicious product.

Brewery tours run daily and take approximately 1 hour and are followed by a tutored beer tasting which lasts around 30 minutes. You will then be accompanied to the Adnams Southwold store where you may be able to try a selection of our other products and to collect your bottle of Adnams Beer. The cost is £20 per person, which includes the tour, tastings, and a bottle of beer to take home, we'll even give you 10% off your purchases in our Adnams Southwold store when you spend £20 or more. Tours are only available to over 18s and booking is essential as spaces are limited.

Distillery Tours

Our Copper House Distillery sits within the brewery and uses many of the same local ingredients. From the top of the building you can see some of the best views in Southwold, looking across the rooftops to the Lighthouse and North Sea beyond. Discover how we create our range of award-winning spirits from the start of the process in our super-efficient brewery through to distilling and, of course, sampling the finished product. The tour costs £20 per person.

Make Your Own Gin

An amazing gift for gin lovers and a real treat for everyone who's curious about this fascinating and historic spirit. If you’ve ever wanted to create your very own gin and would like to learn more about the art of distilling, then the Adnams Make Your Own Gin experience is for you.

Now available in Southwold, Bury St Edmunds and Norwich Westlegate, this fascinating experience using mini copper stills takes approximately 2.5 hours. An Adnams Gin Maker will guide you through the process of making your own gin, from selecting your own choice of botanicals provided, through to the distillation process and naming, then labelling, your personal bottle. As well as the opportunity to create your own gin to take home with you, you'll also be able to taste a range of our delicious spirits and you'll be given a voucher to receive 10% off your purchases in our Adnams stores when you spend £20 or more.

Make Your Own Gin Experiences are available for over 18s only.

The Adnams Make Your Own Gin experience costs £95 per person and includes:

A gin making session with one of our Gin Makers
A 70cl bottle of your own gin to take home with you
A tutored tasting of a range of Adnams Spirits

If you have a group of 10 to 12 people then we can arrange a private tour of our Brewery or Distillery, they are a great way to celebrate a special occasion, bring a team of colleagues together or simply make a visit to Southwold memorable.
