Experience the passion, commitment and can-do spirit of the Halifax Distilling Co.

Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the distillery downtown on the Halifax waterfront. Learn about the distilling process, immerse yourself in the history and legacy of the Shore family distillers, Maritime rum running history, and the story of women distillers. Historical interpretive panels on the walls highlight the history of rum in the Maritimes, from prohibition and rum running to the Canadian navy’s rum rations. Then enjoy the sensory experience of a taste (or two) of the spirits.

When you are done, browse the retail shop for Halifax Distilling Co. rum cakes, jellies, preserves, apparel, collectibles and gifts. Be sure to bring some of the Halifax Distilling Co. “spirit” home with you.

The tour is approximately an hour in length.
